Safer Internet Day 7th March 2023

 On Tuesday the 7th of February, we mark Safer Internet Day. All classes will set aside time to talk about online safety and complete activities around the theme ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online.’ Children will attend a safer internet assembly later in the week. Year 5 children will participate in the So Social Media workshop which looks at children’s use of social media and how to use critical thinking and consideration in their online decision-making. Year 6 children will participate in the Friend vs Friendly workshop which helps young people create positive peer pressure whilst providing basic personal safety advice. LGfL have produced a free, downloadable ‘digital family agreement’. It can help families set boundaries and manage expectations around internet/phone/gaming at home.
